Hoping for my first public artwork....

Today I submitted my first entry for a public artwork call to artists! It is sponsored by Spokane Arts and I am very excited, because the artworks will be displayed in downtown Spokane. I hope mine is one of the lucky chosen ones. That would be so cool! :0
My design is inspired by the decor on the inside of the FOX Theater in Spokane, WA. When I first stepped into that theater I could not take my eyes off of the ceiling and the walls, because of the intricate and beautiful Art Deco style embelleshments. I felt like I was inside of a ginormous work of art. So I wanted to attempt and bring that same beauty to the streets of spokane, through this potential public work of art! :)
This mini version of the piece, if chosen, will be printed in Vinyl by Standard Digital Printing and installed onto a traffic signal box on the streets of downtown Spokane. This Call to Artists is in an effort to bring a little more beauty to otherwise industrial and boring objects.
I should know soon if my design gets chosen! Oh Boy!
